What’s not to love?! Our little white cottage positioned on a stunning Northern Beaches headland has just the right amount of nostalgia and modernity to make it perfect for family life these days. Drenched in natural light from sunrise to sunset, with a minimalist aesthetic, it’s the perfect location for film and photography.

Originally built around 1960, directly across from Turrimetta Beach (no beach views unfortunately, but stunning green valley views and sunsets on the western orientation), we purchased it a few years back and made it what it is today. While it still has its quirks and is well-lived in, the exterior white cladding and white interiors with timber floorboards makes every day feel like a holiday.

Featuring open-plan living from lounge to dining to kitchen and out onto the expansive deck, it’s perfect for managing a family and also for entertaining with friends. Each bedroom is large and spacious, with new built-in robes – perfect spaces for chilling with a book or kids playing with friends. The ample lounge area is excellent for movie/pizza/footy nights with friends & a spare room is set up as a play room with a lounge, or can be converted to a spare room with a sofa.

The kitchen is also spacious for an older house, so it’s great for preparing meals with help from little hands, or putting a meal together with friends. We have a large indoor dining table, but we prefer to eat outdoors if the weather is right – an L-shaped sofa seats 5-7 people, plus we have a well-loved teak table for plenty of conversations and just taking in the uninterrupted sunset over an evening meal.

A manicured front yard complements the beach cottage vibe, while the large levelled and retained backyard has been planted around the exterior with large lawns. There is also a large trampoline that easily fits about 10 kids.

If you want to get down and dirty, the original laundry and garage is located under the house (we’re positioned on a headland so the block is sloped). Lets just say it’s a work in progress, but you never know what creative minds are looking for for film and photo locations!

The front fence and electric gate is made of modern blackbutt battens and opens onto a new wide concrete driveway that sits alongside the house.
