The Garden House is a reimagined Queenslander positioned in the western suburbs of Brisbane, just 15 minutes from the city centre CBD. The home combines the architect’s South American exuberance for life with a simple Queensland aesthetic. At the front of the house is a patio surrounded by vines cascading from the rooftop garden. It features a floating concrete seat and firepit and provides easy access to the living, dining, and kitchen areas. The home’s design allows for cross-breezes and plentiful light, leading naturally to the pool and entertaining area, creating a private inner-city escape in the generous backyard. The materials and finishes used are faithful to the timeless Queenslander style.
