Built in 1878, the Newbridge Schoolhouse is a traditional weatherboard school with attached principal’s residence plus playground and pony paddock. With a fully renovated exterior including cottage verandah, brick chimneys and porches with original bag hooks, the school also features a secret courtyard and heritage multi-paned sash windows with hinged timber screens.

In the grounds are the original galvanised bubbler shed, incinerator and sports shed. Heritage trees act as demarcation lines for the play areas and cricket pitch. Echidnas and wombats live here.

The interior is in original condition with vaulted ceilings and tall north-facing windows in the schoolroom and adjoining staff kitchen. Several rooms in the residence have original working fireplaces and all have timber-panelled walls with high ceilings. The property is unfurnished and ready for staging.
