Set just outside Perth, this shoot location captures the essence of barefoot luxury, with whitewashed textures, sun-drenched timber, and sprawling views of the Indian Ocean.

Designed as a blank canvas for creativity, the home blends all-white exteriors with greyed-off timber cladding and limestone underfoot—providing contrast, depth, and softness in every frame. The architecture celebrates indoor-outdoor living with an open-plan layout, pitched ceilings, and multiple zones that transition effortlessly from interior styling to sunlit exteriors.

Photographers and content teams are spoiled for choice here. Whether it’s the expansive balcony with uninterrupted ocean views, the generous sun deck, or the sculptural outdoor firepit space, every angle offers clean lines and natural textures. The recently completed pool house adds another distinct zone to work with—perfect for swimwear campaigns, wellness content, or product shoots with a high-end resort feel.

Inside, Kahakai remains intentionally minimal, with white textured render walls and airy living spaces styled to reflect the coastal surrounds. There’s a calm, tonal palette throughout—ideal for letting your product or subject shine. The flexibility of the space makes it suitable for everything from fashion lookbooks and family storytelling, to lifestyle campaigns and film productions.

The gardens have matured since earlier shoots, with lush planting and updated landscaping including a striking pandanus at the entry (now replacing the previous palm). Hosts are transparent and collaborative, with updated visuals available on request and on-site styling support offered as an optional service. Kahakai is a family home, so while it welcomes creativity, it also asks for care—making it a respectful, well-managed environment for professional use.
