The pretty-as-a-picture white weatherboard presents a thoroughly charming face to the street.

A pleasant, green front garden frames the verandah, fretwork and diamond leadlight features, while a deep side drive handles the off-street necessities.

We all know to expect a gleaming new pin at the rear of these lovely gems, and opening the door here is no different – except that, well, it does seem particularly luminous. More on that soon.

First, though, the original part of the house has been elegantly revamped – soft tones, quality fittings, a dash of just-right pizazz.

When you see the swirling seams of the coloured stone vanity in the main bedroom’s chic en suite, you’ll understand.

There are elements here the original old dear would never have offered – like the main suite’s generous walk-in wardrobe and the fine storage in the second bedroom.
Then there are the things that have remained constant and scarcely bettered – those leadlights, the beauty of a bay window.

A third bedroom opens off to the right side and over the splendid, central grassy garden; the line of sight carrying across to the thrilling rear section.
