Built in 1903 by the Mayor of Ballarat East as a wedding gift for his daughter, this property replicates the Mayor’s own home which is located on the opposite corner.

Retaining most of its original features the property has been decorated to closely reflect the fashions of the era, right down to the chickens in the backyard. There are functional wood-burning open fireplaces in the parlour, salon and master bedroom. The walk-in pantry and scullery adjoin the expansive kitchen which houses an operational IXL wood-burning stove. All bedrooms have cast-iron or brass beds and French flax linen bedding.
