The Pearl is a fresh take on the quintessential Australian beach house with high racked ceilings, Tassie oak floors and generous proportions large enough to take a couple of families or a group.

At the bottom of the lush lawn a few steps away is the pristine white sand of White Beach. This sleepy seaside village is nestled between a gleaming arc of white sand on one side and gentle sloping eucalypt hills on the other.

White Beach is 1½ hrs from Hobart and 70min from Hobart airport. The house is in the spectacular Tasman Peninsula, which is largely bush and dramatic coastlines. The world-heritage listed Port Arthur Historic Site is a 10min drive away. On the drive from Hobart or the airport you pass 5 world class distilleries. Both McHenry’s and Impression Bay Distilleries are only a 12min drive away.

The main house consists of two linked pavilions. The first pavilion is light and airy and contains the open plan living area the perfect place to relax and unwind, along with dining area, gourmet kitchen and butlers pantry.

The second pavilion is two story and has three queen-size bedrooms downstairs all with water glimpses and two bathrooms. Upstairs the fourth double bedroom has water views, you’ll also find a powder room, second lounge room and a large open room with 5 single beds.

Also on the property is a separate building housing a games room and next to this is the private outdoor shower perfectly placed for a rinse off when you come back from the beach.

The house showcases work by local ceramicists, blacksmiths and artists.

Wide verandas wrapping around the beach side are the perfect spot to put your feet up and enjoy the outlook from the huge daybed and watch the sun go down over the water.
