Set within the Byron Bay hinterland and just 10 minutes from town, this expansive homestead offers a rare combination of architectural boldness, grounded materiality, and a deep sense of place. Equal parts farmhouse and modern sanctuary, it’s a space that invites storytelling at every turn.

Though newly built, the home feels timeless—anchored by a sweeping basalt stone wall, cathedral-like ceilings, and expansive timber details that connect it visually and emotionally to the surrounding land. Every window frames hillside views. Every space is considered. It’s quiet here, save for the occasional call of a wedge-tailed eagle, and the design leans into that stillness with rich textures, soft tones, and a sculptural, nature-driven sensibility.

The main living pavilion is open and dramatic, flanked by decks with built-in bench seating and outlooks across the communal firepit and large, statement pool. Inside, the basalt fireplace becomes a visual anchor, while the kitchen—fitted with stone and timber benchtops and open timber shelving—offers a natural editorial backdrop that’s as decorative as it is functional.

Walker Farm is built for versatility, offering both intimate corners and large-scale zones ideal for high-production shoots. Bedroom spaces are layered in natural textures and curated with imagery that reflects the land itself. The master suite is especially striking, with a green andesite-clad ensuite overlooking the pine forest—private yet fully immersed in the landscape.

Additional spaces include a rumpus room, bunk room, guest suite, and bespoke children’s rooms, each thoughtfully styled in harmony with the rest of the home. Leather is used throughout—subtly integrated in both decorative elements and joinery, adding tactility and visual weight.
