Yes, standalone 248 sqm weatherboard cottage. That means all electricity and water is generated on our property – completely green sustainability and a very very small carbon footprint.

Cascade cottage is fully insulated. By turning on the large ceiling fans we find air conditioning is not required. For natural cross-ventilation, all the bi-folds in the loungeroom can be opened as a single door or folded right back to take advantage of the afternoon sea breeze and wonderful natural light.

Open-plan Hampton style kitchen with breakfast bar, dining, lounge, and full laundry facilities. Lounge with combustion wood fire and three sets of bifold doors opening onto wrap around verandahs and expansive lawns.

In the cooler months you’ll be as warm as toast in a jiffy from the fuel-efficient wood combustion fire. Paper and matches are in the pantry to start the fire, plenty of kindling and logs felled from our farm are at the ready.

We’ve a fully stocked kitchen – 5 burner SMEG gas stove and all new appliances. Easily set up with beautiful dinner ware and accessories. For example, Heritage bone china white dinner set for 8, extra dinner plates Italian patterned ceramic Maxwell Williams, Cutlery; Laguiole and stainless steel Stanley Rogers 56 piece setting, all BBQ utensils and so much more. Just 5 mins to town for supplies; the Dayboro Bakery provide savory and sweet platters and The Old Storehouse does some lovely picnic hampers with gourmet deli produce.

Soaring VJ ceilings upstairs where you’ll find our two bedrooms separated by the bathroom. Queen sleigh bed in North bedroom and king bed or two king singles in the South bedroom. Of course, all our beds can be made up using fine spun 100% cotton 500 percale white sheets – picture perfect and luxuriously comfortable.

Many TV, filming, photo backdrops both inside and out – mid western barn with tractor parked up, large 30sqm custom-built pergola with wicker lounge setting to take in the uninterrupted views, café setting on the 6 foot verandahs, two billabong dams surrounded by trees, two 22000 litre corrugated steel water tanks, 13 large batteries for full solar power, 900 olives, 4000 cabinet trees, 600 metre undulating gravel drives, mature phoenix palms and an out-door loo for the adventurous!

Also a six metre diameter fire pit. Requests fully catered to on application 🙂
