Elm House | Fairytale Forest Venue & Film Location | Moreton Bay Region, QLD

Tucked deep in the mountain rainforest of the Moreton Bay Region, Elm House is a cinematic, fairytale-style venue that feels like it’s been pulled from the pages of a storybook. With its gingerbread house façade, cathedral-style windows, and handcrafted interiors, this one-of-a-kind space offers an immersive backdrop for film, photography, and creative productions seeking rustic sophistication and visual magic.

Inside, the main banquet hall is grand and glowing—featuring soaring raked ceilings, timber floors, and arched windows that bring in soft forest-filtered light. The space seats up to 60 and opens into a hexagonal fireside lounge room, complete with two styled seating zones: a modern brown leather Chesterfield and a vintage gold velvet couch, anchored by a piano and coffee tables for layered storytelling moments.

Across the venue, you’ll find:

• A hardwood-topped bar with stainless steel benches and a commercial fridge
• A rustic-meets-refined bathroom with a freestanding sink, copper tapware, and handcrafted timber details
• Atmospheric lighting and feature doors that add depth and texture to every shot

Step outside and the story continues. The venue’s front façade channels a true gingerbread cottage, while the rainforest deck, stone pillars, and archways lead into a lush, enchanted garden framed by ferns and palms. The expansive flat lawn is ideal for larger outdoor setups, and nearby rainforest trails offer even more organic options for editorial or cinematic capture.

Whether you’re staging a period-style campaign, shooting fantasy content, capturing slow, nature-led storytelling, or hosting a styled micro-event, Elm House delivers a complete, mood-rich setting designed for imagination and immersion.
