Dairy Flat Lodge | Luxury Countryside Farm & Shoot Estate | Hepburn, VIC

Tucked into the lush hills of Musk, just seven kilometres from Daylesford, Dairy Flat Lodge is a refined rural estate that redefines countryside luxury. Set across 38 acres of regenerative farmland, this one-of-a-kind location offers cinematic beauty, botanical detail, and heritage charm—making it an exceptional setting for film production, fashion editorials, lifestyle shoots, and brand campaigns seeking both scale and soul.

At the heart of the property is a European-style lodge, enveloped by a romantic hedgerow garden with winding pathways, quiet nooks, and sculptural seating areas that lend themselves to both styled shoots and slow, observational content. The lodge itself is a masterclass in refined rustic design, offering six king suites with private ensuites, a moody library, and a curated cellar. Custom-made furniture and an impressive art collection—including original works by Allan Wolf-Tasker, Alesandro Ljubicic, and sculpture by Anthony Vanderzweep—add depth and richness to every frame.

Outside, the property unfolds into a patchwork of layered visual experiences. A cedar hot tub and firepit overlook the vineyard, while a silver birch-lined driveway creates an unforgettable entrance shot. An heirloom orchard, 250-tree olive grove, spring-fed dam (complete with fishing rods), and a tunnel-accessed bakehouse within a semi-subterranean cellar round out the sensory, story-driven opportunities for production teams.

A working farm as well as a luxury retreat, Dairy Flat includes a vegetable and herb garden, production bee hives, and a cast of resident animals—from alpacas and British white cattle to visiting kangaroos, wombats, echidnas, and local birdlife. Every part of the estate offers texture and authenticity, making it ideal for natural light photography, outdoor brand activations, and long-form storytelling.

With a private helipad, on-site electric bikes, and the ability to host up to 50 people (with more on request), the property is as practical as it is picturesque. From early morning mist rising over the dam to golden hour light falling across vineyard rows, Dairy Flat Lodge offers an unmatched backdrop for shoot teams looking to create something extraordinary.
