About this space
Five oaks farm is a 15.5 acre holding of lush acres with uninterrupted views toward the beautiful Obi valley. The northern boundary of the property is graced with old forest and the property contains two Queensland cottages and rustic outbuildings including a large shed with mezzanine, hen house and two semi-open stables. There are olive groves (one with twenty trees and the other with 30), 450 paddock-grown roses and a flower field, and an orchard and orangerie planted throughout the property. Three gentle thoroughbred horses graze in the paddocks and sometimes frolic in the dam. The main farmhouse is a picturesque workers cottage with ornate fanlights, VJ walls, polished floorboards and wide wrap-around verandahs with lovely views with great aspects from each direction. The interior of the house is simply furnished with an eclectic mix of antique, vintage and modern pieces. The henhouse houses seven cheeky chickens and Pickles the rooster. There is a stone fire-place and stone steps that lead to rose gardens and olive trees.
